Andy C is a DJ legend in every sense of the word. A selecta well deserving of all recognition he receives. Well known internationally as a leader in the Drum & Bass scene and the figurehead of RAM Records. This is a true dub don who is always ahead of the game.
From the main stages of EDC to Global Gathering, lauded performances at Radio 1’s Hackney weekend, playing to 85,000 people at Glastonbury, selling out London’s Brixton Academy and Electric Brixton…it’s clear Andy C has a reputation to be revered.
This Thursday Andy is bringing his thunder sound to the Sub Club for the first time ever! As you can imagine there is already a massive buzz around town for this one, and everyone here at Sub Club is equally as excited to hear him showcasing his wizardry behind the decks!

Andy C recently remixed one of his favourite bands from the past few years, London Grammar, and their latest single, Sights. Two decades ago DnB was an underground world of illegal warehouse raves, pirate radio stations and cassette pack mix tapes. Now, thanks to bass heavyweights such as Andy C and co. the likes of Chase & Status, DJ Fresh and Sub Focus have been fore fronting the bass scene, topping the charts and selling out shows worldwide in more recent years.
BBC Radio 1’s Mistajam went out to Essex to catch up with globally recognised king of DnB, Andy C at RAM Records HQ to chat about where and how it all began. Check out the recording of what went down East of London town…
