22 Jamaica Street is a 3500 square foot basement space for up to 410 people. It has two separate bar areas and cutting edge Martin Audio sound. The main bar is characterised by its exposed brickwork and steel beams, through to the low ceilinged dancefloor and onto the dimly lit back bar.

  • What’s Sub Club?

    A 3,500-square-foot basement night club in Glasgow, founded April 1st 1987. We also run a record label – Nautilus Rising, a festival – Sub Club SoundSystem and run cultural events through our Sub Hub brand.

  • Where is the club?

    Sub Club is at 22 Jamaica Street, G1 4QD

    > A 4 minute walk from Glasgow Central Train Station

    > 2 minutes from St Enoch Glasgow Underground station. (Closes at 23:30 Monday to Saturday and 18:00 on a Sunday.)

    > A number of First bus routes pass the Sub Club.

    > 20 minute drive from Glasgow International Airport

    > There is a taxi rank immediately outside the club

  • When are you open?

    Sub Club is open every Tuesday (i AM), every Friday (various) and every Saturday (Subculture). We are regularly open Thursdays, Sunday and Wednesdays.

    Doors open at 11pm and close at 3am unless otherwise stated. Now and again we open earlier and occasionally we are open till 4AM.

  • Where do I buy advance tickets?

    The most up to date ticketing information is always available on the corresponding night’s Facebook event – check our Facebook event listings.

    All Subculture tickets can be bought through Sub Club’s Resident Advisor or Eventcube pages.

  • What if an event is sold out?

    A lot of our nights have a policy of holding back some tickets for the door on the night of the event itself. This will be clearly communicated through the corresponding Facebook event.

    Tickets will sometimes be put up for resale on Resident Advisor via their resale function (more information) once the event is sold out, check the event wall and Resident Advisor event frequently to see when this happens.

    Our other main ticket outlet Eventcube currently does not offer a resale option but is working on releasing this soon.

    While sometimes people will post on Facebook advertising tickets for sale, we recommend you only buy through official resale channels. Please be aware each ticket can only be scanned once.

  • Lost property

    Lost something in the club? You aren’t the first! For any lost property enquiries please fill in the ‘lost property’ form on our website.

    Alternatively email lost@subclub.co.uk with the date that you lost the item, the size, colour & kind of item you left. Our team will try their best to find your stuff and will contact you about how to collect anything that is found.

  • Dress code

    We do not allow football colours, tracksuits, any high-vis glow wear, or any clothing which may cause offence.

    If you’d like to check if a particular item of clothing is allowed – please email info@subclub.co.uk.

  • Age restrictions

    Sub Club is a strictly aged 18+ venue. We operate a challenge 25 policy, all those lucky enough to appear under the age of 25 will be asked to provide evidence of their age by a valid photographic ID (UK Driving License, PASS 18+ Card or Passport).

  • Am I allowed to take pictures in the club?

    Sub Club does not allow any unauthorised filming or photography with professional/prosumer equipment. Anyone found doing this without prior permission is at risk of having his or her property confiscated. For all clearance on filming and photography please email info@subclub.co.uk.

    As for camera phones, make sure your flash is switched off – it kills the atmosphere and distracts the DJ and technicians from their work. Please don’t film or take photos on the dance floor.

  • I want to hire or put on an event in the club

    We are always open to interesting ideas and proposals for events and nights – please email hire@subclub.co.uk, whether you’re an experienced promoter or newcomer.

  • Can I play in your club or release on your label?

    Please email info@subclub.co.uk with a link to a demo or your Soundcloud page.

    If you are interested in submitting a demo for Nautilus Rising, please message the Soundcloud page directly.

    Due to the volume of mixes and demos we receive we cannot reply to everyone. However – we do listen.

    If we are interested in booking you for the club, or your music for the label – we will contact you directly. Please make sure you give us an up to date contact number and email address.

  • Work at the Sub Club

    We always want to hear from good people that want to be part of the team. If you are interested in working with us please drop us an email via work@subclub.co.uk. Attach a CV and a short introduction to why you want to work at Sub Club. Roles include Bar, PR, Cloakroom and Security.

  • Student discount

    There is no specific discount for students at the Sub Club

    However, our midweek event promoters often offer a reduced priced entry for students
