Don’t Drop – Octave One live

Don’t Drop:

“4 Years On! It’s been a journey and a half. Big love to those who follow us, for taking us up on our ideas and trusting us with your nights out.

Octave One is the brainchild of the phenomenal native sons of Detroit, the Burden Brothers, who have the reputation of being co-founders of the Detroit techno scene. They released groundbreaking underground dance anthems and dreamy technosoul classics on Derrick May’s Transmat label, as well as on their own label, 430 West Records including releases by Aux 88, UR’s Mad Mike, DJ Rolando, Terrence Parker, Eddie Flashin’ Fowlkes and their Random Noise Generation moniker. The Burden Brothers have also worked with a bunch of techno legends including Kevin Saunderson, Carl Craig, Laurent Garnier and Jeff Mills amongst many others.

“The Burden brothers call their live setup The Mothership for good reason. Like fellow Detroit hero George Clinton’s space craft, it’s replete with strange gadgetry and flashing lights, visiting unsuspecting humanoids with a message of pure funk.” – Resident Advisor
