We are very happy to announce our full Sub Club SoundSystem line up at this year’s Rockness festival in the Scottish Highlands. It’s set to be the party of the summer and we’ve pulled out as many stops as we can get our hands on to bring what we believe is our most exciting line up at Rockness to date.
Speaking about this year’s Sub Club SoundSystem, Mike Grieve, Sub Club Director commented, “This will be the fifth consecutive year of the Sub Club SoundSystem at Rockness and I would say our strongest line-up to date. Kerri Chandler has been injecting soul into music since the early 90s, making him one of house music’s true originators. Never straying from his roots, Kerri has remained loyal to the underground, producing contemporary classics like ‘Bar-A-Thym’ and ‘Back To The Raw’ while his DJ schedule continues to take him to all corners of the globe, making new friends and fans at every turn.
Following a massive 18 months for Bristol’s king of the UK underground, Julio Bashmore shows no signs of slowing down. ‘Battle For Middle You’, ‘Au Seve’, ‘Tusk’ and ‘Footsteppin’ are modern classics and his Broadwalk label continues to go from strength to strength as his distinctive blend of deep house, garage and techno continue to make many fans in the farrest flung places.

An enduring favourite at Sub Club, his ability to remain consistent, innovative and an inspiration to all is unrivalled, as his slew of seminal productions, classic remixes and stirring DJ sets testify each and every time.
With their seminal Subculture residency about to enter it’s 20th year as the Sub Club’s weekly Saturday flagship, Harri & Domenic continue to push the boundaries and rework their ever relevant take on house music with every set they play. They continue to steer clear of trends or fads and remain true to their roots, serving up flawless selections of house and techno to the clued up masses the world over.
A stalwart of international electronic music, Henrik Schwarz’s take on deep house transcends genres, scenes and pre-conceptions and continues to enrapture and educate those that come into contact with it. Responsible for a plethora of modern house anthems and contemporary classics and synonymous with Dixon and Âme’s incredible Innervisions label, Henrik Schwarz can be considered one of the most revered and respected names working over the last 20 years.
Numbers label head and party starter supreme, Jackmaster has seen his stock continue to rise and rise. With a reputation built on his impeccable taste and technical ability, he caters to the guys, the girls, the techno polis and the man on the street all at the same time. A regular on BBC Radio 1 as well as the in the best clubs the world over, expect everything from classic Detroit techno, disco jams to the freshest sounds coming out of UK today.
Scuba is many things to many men; Hotflush label owner, international tastemaker and a man on a mission to spread the very best dubstep, house and techno music there is to people who want to hear it most. 2012 saw the release of his third solo album ‘Personality’, stepping up his game and staking his claim as one of the biggest and best DJs and producers working today.
With releases on Visionquest, Cocoon, Cadenza and Bedrock to his name, it’s safe to say that Guy Gerber is a man in demand with all the right people. His own label Supplement Facts is making similar waves with DJs and clubs the world over as he keeps on spreading his unique sound, brimming with warmth, tenacity and enough groove to move the best of you.
Sensu are behind one of Glasgow’s finest house and techno parties, regularly packing out Sub Club with the very best DJs their world has to offer. From Loco Dice to Ricardo Villalobos, they never miss a beat with their guest DJs and always set the tone perfectly for what lies ahead with their excellent DJ selections and instinctive ability to work the floor.
Raised on a diet of UK & US garage, house and early rave music, Huxley has moulded his sound into his own distinctive take on the modern house blue print. Consistently on point releases on Tsuba, Hypercolour and 20:20 Vision have secured his status as one of the most exciting producers to emerge from the UK in the last few years and his DJ sets follow suit each and every time.
Beta & Kappa are resident DJs at i AM, one of Scotland’s biggest clubbing success stories in recent memory. Packing out Sub Club every Tuesday with their free flowing mix of electronic gems and painfully on the money guest bookings, they have ripped up the mid-week rule book and treated their loyal and clued up fan base to more parties to remember than we could possibly recall.
