Dj Ez’s Top Shaping Anthems

Two heavyweight Glasgow crews are teaming for a third time to bring us an essential party this Friday as the legendary DJ EZ makes his Scottish debut. Ahead of the night we caught up with the man himself as he let us in on 5 special tracks that have shaped his famous sound…

1. Reach and Spin – Hyper Funk
This is known as being one of my signature tracks in my set as I was one of the first DJ’s to play this on radio and in the clubs making it one of the most sought after in the late 90’s!

2. Woz – Reach
With so many spin offs of the UK Garage sound right now, this track for me has so many elements of the new and old and is one that I feature in most of my sets at the moment.

3. EZ – Intro 6
From the 10 intro’s that I produced / engineered myself (quite a few years ago now lol), Intro 6 is one of the most popular, most requested and was one of the quickest tracks that I ever made..

4. Todd Edwards – Never far from you (Original)
Most know that Todd Edwards’s music was one of my main reason why I got into the UK Garage scene and is still my favourite Producer / remixer to this day. I am a big fan 4×4 UKG and Todd has a unique sound with his ability to use samples in a way that no other producer can recreate…

5. 3rd Core – Mindless and Broken (MJ Cole Remix)
One of the best producer / remixer is without a doubt, MJ COLE!! 9 times of out of 10, his remixes are better than the original and he has made so many classics (such as “Sincere”) that I have to include at least one of his tracks in most of my sets.
