A MESSAGE FROM ALL U NEED:

‘We all know how it is, you leave the house with a jacket that’s too thin, your scarf is in the other bag you didn’t bring, the cold just starts to get to you. At this time of year, bracing the cold weather can be really difficult, especially for those who’s only option is to stay outside.

For this event, we’re raising money for the Glasgow City Mission to provide more rooms in homeless shelters throughout Glasgow. Whilst it’s totally free to the guest staying at the night shelter, it costs the Glasgow City Mission £24.63 per person per night. Any donations will help enable this lifeline service to take place and give someone who is sleeping rough a warm, safe place to spend the night. In the morning, after they receive breakfast, the people at Glasgow City Mission connect the guest to council homelessness caseworkers, to a specialist NHS clinic for homeless people, to legal help and also to their city centre project and their partners in the city.

We’ll be taking donations through the just-giving link and on the door on the night of the event. We would also like to appeal for any spare jackets, gloves, hats or anything else you deem suitable lying around. Bring whatever you can on the night and we’ll see to it that it gets distributed.

We will be joining forces with some great local talent for this one. Everyone on this roster is a proven party starter, all having covered the biggest venues in Glasgow and Edinburgh and we have no doubt they will all bring the party. Good people playing good tunes for a good cause.’
