Bigfoot’s Tea Party – Alden Tyrell (Live)
Bigfoot’s kick off 2014 with a killer live performance from Clone Records’ Alden Tyrell. For more than a decade now he has been producing a diverse spread of music across electro, italo and techno. As an integral part of the Clone Records / Jack For Daze family, Alden’s output recalls the motifs of Detroit and Chicago clubs and radio stations gone by. Combining robotic basslines with rich synths alongside peers like I-F and Legowelt, it’s not too bold to say Tyrell is one of the leading names in his field, despite his modest claim only to “push buttons until I hear something that rocks”. Most recently he has been honing his own version of Chicago house that is raw, punchy and cerebral, regularly in collaboration with Clone boss Serge, GERD or Mike Dunn. As well as being a studio master and man of many monikers, so too is Alden a mastering master, working on many projects for Clone when not mixing up his musical influences in clubs and festivals all over the planet. Expect a proper live performance of jackin’ acid bangers.
