Era Suite makes it’s return to Jamaica Street on Friday the 18th of February with a pearl of a party! Kicking off their 2022 in truly bombastic style, Trumpets & Horns galore! As the one & only Mr Dan Shake joins resident Rebecca Vasmant for a night of the finest globetrotting grooves and dance floor diamonds!
Dan Shake has been making serious waves ever since he surfed onto to the scene back in 2014 with his brilliant debut “3AM Jazz Club / Thinkin” EP released on the master that is Moodymann’s Mahogani Music imprint, which did serious damage in the dance the world over. In the years following, Dan has channelled the unique energy he creates with his productions into becoming a truly world beating DJ capable of truly captivating a dance floor, working the energy of the room like few others as he reaches across all spectrums of dance music from lush house, via jazz & funk, to global sounds of samba & beyond, all informed by the golden Paradise Garage era of Disco. We are beyond excited to have the Subbie (Dan) Shaking for the first time since 2019!
Representing in support is none other than Era Suite resident & Sub Club Queen of all things Jazz, Funk, Latin, World & Beyond – Rebecca Vasmant! Stepping back into the Subbie booth after her wonderful Debut All Night Long Set back in October where she fused funky house grooves with the best in Dancefloor Jazz Jammers & more! We can’t wait to see the fun unfold as this dynamite pairing bring their own inimitable vibes with energy like no other. Dress to sweat, this one is gonna be bouncing.
