Thu-Frogbeats-UTB – Liquid Sessions
Humans are 65% water. As water flows, it constantly changes its shape to fit the space available. This is because water is a liquid, and never has a fixed shape. A fast-flowing liquid, such as water rushing over a waterfall, has a lot of energy. Much like the flow of liquid beats that will fill the Sub Club dance floor once again.
This will be the second Liquid Session after the popularity of the launch night back in December. ‘Liquid’ is the smoother, more soulful offspring of Drum & Bass. For this one, we’ve enlisted MLW and Odolwa as our special guests.
Many of you may know MLW from the Philanthrobeats charity collective and The Arlington bar. This guy’s got a groove that will get your legs wobbling in all the right ways. With a chillin’ flow and taste in tunes so sick we’ll be proud to have him behind the decks. We’ve seen him get men of 80 years old dancing to Disco, thus inventing the ‘Oldguy Shuffle’ (if you’re an Arlington regular you’ll know what Frogbeats are talking about). This will be his debut set in Sub Club and he’ll be warming up the residents with some chilled Liquid goodness and a touch of Samba and Brazilian ambience. Frogbeats up for an all nighter so come down early to chill and catch this D&B maverick’s slick tune selection. He’s on at 11pm.
Odolwa played at our first Liquid Session back in December. He drowned us all in the dark depths of the liquid ocean, so we invited him back over from Dundee. This time he’s going back to back with RIZE.
Entry is £5 on the door.
