JAIVA • Culoe De Song & ButhoTheWarrior

This is the rescheduled date for ‘JAIVA with Culoe de Song & ButhoTheWarrior – Friday 2nd February’. All tickets remain valid for the rescheduled date. “Lil story time: we once drove 5hrs to Sheffield from Somerset to see Culoe de Song play & I took two of my pals with me. Back then I was just a fan of the scene and doing my research going out 3-4 times a week just to find my space in this music industry. Culoe was one dj I seen & thought wouldn’t it be nice if I made people dance to music from my hometown in a foreign land, fast forward to 10years later I’m doing exactly that with my own twist & interpretation of music. I remember I’d been a big fan of this guy for years, in my opinion his take on Afro house really helped the genre breakthrough into the European scene yet it remained so dark, trippy and dance floor appropriate. A master with the bass & a spiritual being, I’m happy to have Culoe play Jaiva it feels like a wee dream come true. I know it’s last minute announcement but we have been working on this party behind doors for years & to finally make it happen is an achievement on itself. We need a better way of working with African artists from the border agency to government laws that work against us. If you’ve got the money and time please come through and let’s celebrate by dancing, it will be healing” – Words by ButhoTheWarrior
