Return To Mono Soma Party
With Slam on tour in Berlin, Return To Mono plays host to a Soma Party to kick off the new year.
Harvey McKay:
If you consider Harvey Mckay as an ‘upcoming’ artist, you might have to re-think: his last 12 months have been nothing short of extraordinary, emerging from Glasgow’s underground scene to become one of the hottest prospects in electronic music today, delivering outstanding E.P.s one after another, including his recent hit “Goodbye” on Soma and the current Beatport no.1 Techno track “Lost” on Drumcode, & ‘First Strike From Mars’ on the mighty Cocoon Recordings which has been a huge hit and the highlight in Sven Väth’s recent sets.
Graeme Reedie:
Silicone Soul occupy a special place in the over-crowded field of electronic dance music, through the depth and quality of their recordings plus innate understanding of music’s grand heritage and its constant development. As we enter 2014 the Glaswegian duo are fresh and vibed up, touring some of the best clubs around, having recently released a retrospective which charts some of the many highlights from their label over the course of the past few years…’Darkroom Dubs Vol.3 – Compiled & Mixed by Silicone Soul’, a fine example of exactly they do best: deep electronic house music.
Petrichor:
Expect typical lush, organic deep electronic funk which has won him praise from some of techno’s biggest stars. With only two releases under his belt, Petrichor has highly impressed the dance music community. The man behind the project, Glasgow based Simon Stokes has been working in electronic music for some time and has recently become a certified Ableton instructor heading up the recent re-launch of the Soma Skool, helping fledgling producers get grounding in electronic music.
