To keep everyone’s dancing shoes firmly on, Rubix are returning to the Sub Club on Thursday July 11th. They are back to kick off the old shipyard holiday weekend with a boothful of boys that’ll have you vibin’ until monday comes. For this the Rubix residents will be joined by Bop Gun / Smiddy & Sultan.

Funkadelic. That’s the only way we could describe Smiddy’s Bop Gun set at Rubix’s Valentine’s team-up with Philanthrobeats back in February. A connoisseur of techno, house and hip hop, Smiddy enters groovier pastures when playing under his Bop Gun moniker. An hour certainly wasn’t enough, so they’ve invited Smiddy back again to bring us the funk once more.

Rubix have been fans of Sultan’s for a couple of years now. One of Glasgow’s most versatile DJs and honcho of the Rumours crew, he always always brings a powerful blend of bass, garage and techno to his sets. He’s hit up every sound system in Glasgow bar the subbie, so we’re excited to welcome him into the Jamaica St booth for the first time.
