Fri 19 September
Spirit ࿓ DJ Fart in the Club, Kia, Libra Esterlina & Bake ࿓

tikiman was once asked if he identified as a spiritual person and he answered, “that depends how different people decode them words. there is an immortal, spiritual being in you, you know. you will die and come back, man, you can come back blacker than blue. that’s all we can do here.”
as we mark the end of the last dance with a deep thank you to everyone on either side of the booth, we approach the autumnal equinox with warmth and excitement, ready to welcome kia and dj fart in the club on september 19th at 11pm.
as you grow older and life fills up, seeing each other during summer can be tricky, which feels like it shouldn’t be the case. our little city’s endless daylight has been a blessing, and, for better or worse, the air’s been thick, stubborn, and humid.
aside from rewatching star trek: the next generation, i’m looking forward to being indoors with friends and family — talking, laughing, eating, dancing. and i think that’s something our special guests love to do. their musical threads stretch from australia to south korea to berlin, weaving together The Psychedelic and The Serious, The Absurd Fun and The Childlike Awe, The Cute and The Wholesome — sometimes all within a single record. friendship and animals feel embedded in their style, in ways both subtle and obvious, and that feels like a great note to take things into the winter months.
once again, i’ll be joined by libra esterlina as we hold it down from front to back, back to front.
bringing back the words of my dear friend nevan, “it’d be wonderful to see you, but no worries if you can’t make it!”
