On Saturday at Subculture the inimitable Mr Andrew Weatherall re-enters the fray for an impeccable putting together of music and his own unique strain of long-past midnight madness. Oft overused, but in this case highly applicable, this chap is a legend! Having played our subterranean inner space virtually every year since the earth was flat, he knows exactly how and when to push the buttons to ignite our underground rocket engines.

For anyone who doesn’t know, the Wizard from Windsor was a lynchpin of the late ‘80s acid house explosion and went on to produce Primal Scream’s seminal Screamadelica released in 1991. Our Subcultural brother in arms has grafted for over 20 years, constantly evolving and setting a standard in DJ’ing others can only dream of achieving!
